What's with the cop car ?????

A few years back, I picked up an ex-Saco police cruiser at a city auction. At the time, they had removed the graphics, but left the spotlight, and as I drove around...I noticed people staring and reaching for their seat belts. I then thought...why not take it one step further ????. I took some shots, and brought it to my sign guy, Eric at Spectrum Signs, Biddeford, ME. He thought it would be a fun project and was excited at the prospect.

Almost immediately, it became the talk of the town, and subject of controversy. Most find it amusing, but it angers some. I've been told that they've actually received calls at the station complaining that they stopped at the light because they thought it was a cop car! In other words, otherwise you would have run the light, and you're calling the police to inform them of that ????

Like the old business saying goes...." First, you have to get their attention"...and that it does !!...If nothing else, it's been an interesting study in human behavior.
